Analytical Systems for Industrial Gas Manufacturers

ASTG builds the analytical systems that industrial gas producers use to verify purity at every stage: as gas comes off the air separation unit, before it ships, and as trailers are filled. The same instruments that prove the product also help keep the plant safe.

Air Separation Unit (ASU) monitoring

Air separation units produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon by cryogenic distillation. ASTG's analytics verify the purity of each product stream as it comes off the unit, so off-spec gas is caught before it reaches storage or distribution. View ASU monitoring.

Final product purity control

Before bulk gas ships, ASTG's Ultra/Gas Analytical Purity Systems certify it against its final-product specification, holding precision at the most demanding purity levels. View final product purity control.

Trailer fill solutions

ASTG's automatic filling systems verify gas quality during load-out, so what leaves the plant matches what was certified, with faster and more consistent filling. View trailer fill solutions.

Fixed gas detection

ASTG's fixed gas analytical systems run from spot-checking a single issue to battery-limit testing an entire facility, built with ultra-high-purity engineering techniques. View fixed gas detection.

The monitoring backbone

Underneath these applications sits ASTG's core analytical line. The Gas Purity Monitoring System (GPMS) measures trace oxygen and moisture in bulk hydrogen, nitrogen, helium and argon, plus moisture in oxygen and CO2, using cavity ring-down spectroscopy and integrating with your facility monitoring system (FMS). Cryogenic purifiers deliver high-purity output by condensing out trace impurities. GPMS  ·  Cryogenic purifiers.

Industrial gas analysis FAQ

What does ASTG do for industrial gas producers?

ASTG provides the analytical systems that verify gas purity from production through distribution: monitoring air separation unit output, certifying final product before it ships, verifying trailer fills, and detecting hazards around the plant.

How is air separation unit (ASU) gas purity monitored?

ASTG monitors the oxygen, nitrogen and argon streams from the ASU, using the GPMS cavity ring-down platform to measure trace oxygen and moisture in the bulk gases down to the parts-per-billion level.

How does ASTG verify gas before it ships?

Final product purity control checks each batch against its specification before release, so only on-spec gas reaches storage, trailers or cylinders.

Can ASTG verify gas during trailer filling?

Yes. ASTG's automatic filling systems verify quality as trailers are loaded, keeping what leaves the plant consistent with what was certified.
