Careers at ASTG
Gas purity is a problem most people never think about, right up until it fails. ASTG builds the instruments that make sure it doesn't. Our analyzers verify ultra-high-purity gases in semiconductor fabs, breathing oxygen for military aircrew, hydrogen fuel against ISO 14687, and the CO₂ behind carbon capture. If you would rather build something measurable than something abstract, this is a good place to do it.
Working at ASTG
ASTG designs and manufactures gas analysis and monitoring systems for industries where gas purity is not negotiable. Our analyzers verify ultra-high-purity gases in semiconductor fabs, breathing oxygen for military aviation, hydrogen fuel against ISO 14687, beverage-grade CO₂ against the ISBT guidelines, and the CO₂ streams behind carbon capture and sequestration. We have been doing it for 25 years, from our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Newton, New Jersey.
What that means day to day: the engineering, the assembly, the calibration and the service all happen under one roof, and the people who design an instrument are the people who see it built. Our customers include semiconductor manufacturers, air separation and specialty gas producers, beverage companies, and the aerospace and defense sector.
Why work at ASTG?
At ASTG, you're not just another employee. You're part of a team where your ideas, effort, and impact are noticed.
We're a growing, technology-driven company made up of problem solvers, builders, and people who genuinely care about the work we do. Because we're a smaller organization, employees have the opportunity to work across teams, take on meaningful responsibility, learn quickly, and directly contribute to where the company is headed.
Make an impact
Your work matters here. Whether you're designing a system, building equipment, supporting a customer, improving a process, or helping the business run more efficiently, you can see the direct impact of what you do.
Grow with us

Be seen and heard
Good ideas don't have to travel through layers of management. We value employees who speak up, identify opportunities, take ownership, and help us improve. In a growing company, great work gets noticed.
Work with good people
We spend a lot of time together, so who we work with matters. We strive to build a team of people who are collaborative, accountable, hardworking, and enjoyable to be around. We take our work seriously without believing we have to take ourselves too seriously.
Help build what comes next
ASTG continues to evolve, and our employees have the opportunity to help shape that evolution. If you're comfortable with change, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of building something rather than simply maintaining it, you'll fit right in.
And yes, we love dogs
Dogs have become part of the ASTG culture, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
If you're looking for a place where you can contribute, grow, be recognized, and help build the future, we'd love to hear from you.
