Job Description:
This position will report to the Electrical and Mechanical Leads while working closely
with the Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Technicians in support of their daily activities.
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and other specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install mechanical components and systems, including machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Test mechanical systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical assembly or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
