A gas blender produces a precise, repeatable mixture of two or more gases on demand, at the point of use, instead of relying on pre-mixed cylinders. Why blend on site rather than buy pre-mixed
Pre-mixed cylinders are fixed at the moment they are filled. The blend cannot be adjusted, the cylinder has to be re-ordered and re-certified whenever a specification changes, and its composition can drift over a long shelf life. Blending on site gives you the mixture you need when you need it, at the concentration you choose, with the purity of the source gases preserved through ultra-high-purity gas handling.
The ASTG-RBS Remote Blending System
The ASTG-RBS pairs computer-controlled mass-flow blending with the convenience of remote I/O blend modules. It divides into two functional elements:
- The Control Head — the computer-controlled element that sets and holds the blend.
- The Dilution I/O® — remote blend modules placed where the gas is actually needed, rather than requiring the whole system to sit at the point of use.
Separating the two means one control point can serve blend modules distributed across a facility, which is what makes the system practical in a fab or a multi-tool laboratory.
